Providence- St Mel School Concert March 11 at St. Matthias' Church
On Thursday evening at 7:30 David and Beverly Baar will be bringing their Providence St. Mel’s Choir to St. Matthias for a concert. This renowned inner-city choir will perform a program of African-American Gospel, Spirituals and African music. Please plan to come and bring your friends! We will also be serving dinner to the choir before the concert and will be housing them for the evening. If you are able to provide housing and/or prepare or help serve the dinner, please see the sign-up sheet on the bulletin board or contact Nancy Coleman or the Church office.
Documentary to be shown at local Theater
The documentary movie “The Providence Effect: Every Child Can Be Educated” will be show at the Lakeland Cinema in Woodruff on Saturday March 13 at 2:00 p.m. A question and answer session will follow with the president and principal of Providence St. Mel School and with David and Beverly Baar.
